La Musée d‘Orsay
This museum showcases over 4000 paintings, sculptures and photographs of the 19th and the early 20th century. The building beside the Seine once was a train station, that was transformed into a museum in 1986 and now builds a unique complex with the nearby museums - the Louvre (1. arr.), La Musée d‘Orangerie (1. arr.) and the Grand Palais (8. arr.).
The entry is free for people under the age of 18, EU citizens aged between 18 and 25 years, people with disabilities (and any accompanier) and ICOM cardholders, otherwise the price starts at 12 euros.
The glass ceiling provides the showrooms with beautiful natural light so the visitors can study the works of Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Paul Signac, Auguste Rodin and many more in all their glory. Definitely one of the many things to visit whilst in the 7éme arrondissement.
